I have a NatWest savings account – which I scarcely use because the interest terms are complex and not very good.
Now they have written to me saying that they want to make their “savings accounts easier to understand and fairer for everyone”.
There is a slight problem.To explain all this simplification to me has required:
- An A4 letter – with an important notice on the reverse
- A 23 page booklet about savings account terms
- A 19 page booklet “Fairer Simpler Clearer” explaining the changes.
Why can’t the banks keep things simple!
